Paracord has hundreds of uses in the outdoors; i usually take at least 20 feet of it on a backpacking trip. String up a wash line. Tie off a tarp. String up a bear bag. Replace a broken shoelace. Guy out your tent. Strap things to your pack. Go fish. That and some duct tape and a multi-tool will let you fix lots of stuff.
