GPS FOR ROAD NAVIGATION There's no need to spend lots of money to buy a GPS navigation unit for Europe or any other destination for that once-in-a-lifetime trip. Driving and getting around in a foreign country can be challenging enough without worrying about getting lost. A rental GPS is the perfect solution. But beware the foreign car rental company that says they'll "guarantee" to have one waiting for you. Take one with you from home to be sure you'll have it, and our GPS rental is much less expensive than one from any car rental company. Sure, your maps app on your phone might work, but be careful of data usage upcharges if not in your home territory. Our Garmin road navigation GPS units always have free unlimited usage.
GPS FOR TRAIL NAVIGATION AND GEOCACHING We've probably rented more GPS units over the past 20+ years than anyone else on the web and will be glad to answer any questions you may have on the subject. We consult with and meet the temporary and long-term GPS needs for many large corporate team-building coordinators, church youth groups, geocaching instructors, and the solo backpacker armed with some waypoints and a print map. We feature Garmin handhelds for geocaching and trail use.
For lots of details, check out our helpful Advice Pages on GPS, including
information on geocaching if you are planning an event, and for the basics, see a
great article on how the GPS system works. If you prefer,
