The information below provides more details on how to buy Tyvek, but we encourage you to give us a call or find more resources online if more details are needed. For more information on this item including rates, check out the main product page at Tyvek Material for Ground Cloth or Shelter. Buy by the Linear Foot (9' roll).. There are more how-to pages on nearly all of our most popular rental items; find most at our video and user guide to rentals main page

First, be informed on how to best place your order - we pull the Tyvek off of a roll that is 9' wide, and you tell us how long you want the other side.  So if you wanted a piece 5' x 9', you would order a quantity of 5, at the listed per-foot price.  You can use Tyvek as a lightweight tarp, create your own tent, or use it as g round cloth for your own or one of our rental tents.  It is a very tough material, and you can install grommets in it to help hold it in whatever position you want.  If you use it as a ground cloth, a good way to size it is to lay out the Tyvek and set the tent up on top.  Outline the tent onto the Tyvek and then cut it a few inches inside your outline.  The reason for this i you don't want any groundcloth sticking outside the tent wall; otherwise falling water could pool underneath the tent on top of the Tyvek.

The Tyvek we sell has printing on one side - that is the waterproof side - so you may want that facing the ground is used as aground cloth, and facing up if uses as a shelter.  Tyvek is flexible but "crinkly" when new.  It will quiet down with use, or run it though a washer at home - cold water, no detergent - and hang to dry.  That won't hurt it.
