Some folks are perfectly happy to cowboy camp while some want to watch tv and run an AC in their big glamping tent while they are out in the boonies.  For that, and a lot of other uses, such as tailgating, job sites or remote parties, a portable generator comes in handy.

This remarkably quiet and portable generator offers peak power of 2200 watts which is plenty for most recreational or small-project needs.  A gallon of gas will run it around 8 hours or so depending on how heavy the electrical demand is.

It can vary wildly, but some common wattage demands (you can find exact usage on your powered accessory in its manual or online) include:

Laptop – 60-80 watts
Television – 120 watts
Mini fridge – 500 watts
Portable heaters – 250 to 1500 watts
Camping stoves and ovens – 100 to 1500 watts
Coffee Makers: 600 to 1200 watts
Electric Grills: 1000 to 2000 watts
Microwave: 600 to 1200 watts, plus a surge at startup
Portable Heaters: 250 to 1500 watts
Camping Fan: 3 to 20 watts
Camping Lantern (LED): 5 to 50 watts.
Phone Charger: 10 to 65 watts
Air Mattress Pump: Around 50 watts

You cannot plug everything on the list above into the generator at one time; higher demand items will have to be plugged in at different times.

There are some operating precautions to pay attention to, as you are dealing with a gas engine, combustible fuel, carbon monoxide, and 120 volt AC current.  So you can't let this get wet, but you can't operate it inside a shelter either.  We provide a one-sheet usage guide, or find the full operator's manual at

There will be enough gas in the generator to get it started, but you'll need to take some gas to your event.  We have filled 2- and 5-gallon, high quality metal safety cans with a funnel available to add to your order via the above drop-down if you don't have a gas can(s) to fill on your own.  The optional extension cord you can add from us is 20' heavy duty 10 gauge, with a tri-receptacle end for multiple power cords.  If you take your own cord, should be at least 12 gauge if likely to run the generator anywhere near its capacity output.
