We've added more hiking and backpacking maps and books online

We have hundreds of local-area maps and books on the racks at our camping retail store in Tempe as part of our long-time partnership with Wide World of Maps.  Most of our backpacking and camping rental customers are from other places around the country, so we've finally gotten around to adding a dedicated online category.  Now our backpacking and hiking rental customers can add a map or guide of interest to their rental package to brush up on navigation or other techniques before their trip, or take a long fora an educational read while on their trip.

Most of our map titles are for the Southwest region of the US, but was can get other title from National Geographic and Green Trails that is relevant to your backpacking or other wilderness adventure - just give us a few days extra time to get it in for you if it's not something we normally carry on our retail shelf.
