Curlew Lake State Park is a public recreation area located on the eastern shore of Curlew Lake five miles northeast of Republic in Ferry County, Washington. The state park's 87 acres include facilities for picnicking, camping, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and swimming. A lake without boats doesn't make much sense at all— there are no-fee boat ramps and an 80-ft boat launch area to remedy that. Break the biggest tiger muskie record set at this very lake with the primo freshwater fishing.

If you are a first-time camper, an overnight trip into Curlew Lake State Park is a great way to get started – it’s probably close by, and the staff is used to advising families out on their first trip. We make it easy to rent gear as well if you are aren’t sure what to take – check out our camping gear packages for easy shopping. Just add food and water!

There are two miles of trails created for a leisurely hike or bike ride. You're likely to see birds of all variety like the heron and osprey, and you might even catch sight of a bald eagle. The Stone Rose fossil digging site is only 8 miles away in the town of Republic. The dig site is open to the public and makes a great stop for archaeology enthusiasts, including children.
