Belfair State Park is a public recreation area located on Hood Canal three miles southwest of Belfair in Mason County, Washington. The state park consists of 94 acres of tidal flats, wetlands, and beaches with a 3,720-foot shoreline. Park activities include camping, fishing, swimming, clam digging, crabbing, birdwatching, and field sports. Wetlands, pebble beaches, tidal flats and salmon runs are the stuff that Puget Sound is made of. You will find those features and more at Belfair State Park.

If you are a first-time camper, an overnight trip into Belfair State Park is a great way to get started – it’s probably close by, and the staff is used to advising families out on their first trip. Located on Hood Canal between Shelton and Bremerton, the park's gentle breezes offer ideal conditions for kite-flying, windsurfing and kicking back on a warm summer day. Regular summer interpretive programs, grass fields, warm waters and a playground will occupy the shortest attention spans.
