To the Victor Goes . . . . a few hundred bucks
Every few weeks the landlord and bankers let us escape the store for a few hours, and we get to go out and play on the water.  Between our stores in Tempe and Lake Havasu, we put on more than a dozen FREE kayak bass fishing tournaments for local anglers every year to join us for a morning or evening of always educational - and sometimes competitive - fishing.

On October 27th we had our last one for the year in the Phoenix area, with about 45 anglers showing up at Bartlett Lake.  Many of us camped the night before on the shore,  and we were on the water at first light around 6am on Saturday.

There is one more in the state this year - a dual tourney we put on in conjunction with Paddlefest in Lake Havasu, coming up soon on the weekend of November 17th.  The regular scheduled Southwest Kayaks tourney is open for anyone interested, and the Lowergear Championship event at the same time is for those who qualified over the course of the year.  Stay up to date on all plans and more details on our tournament fishing Facebook page.

Outside of dealing with some idiots on jet skis, a good time was had by all and a few anglers went back home richer than they came in.  Check out the video for some highlights and get the early low-down on what's coming up in 2019!
