Hell Creek State Park is a public recreation area on the south side of Fort Peck Lake located twenty miles due north of the community of Jordan, Montana. The state park's 337 acres sit on the western side of Hell Creek Bay and include a year-round marina, facilities for water sports, camping, and fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and spring lake trout.
If you are a first-time camper, an overnight trip into Hell Creek State Park is a great way to get started – it’s probably close by, and the staff is used to advising families out on their first trip. On the Hell Creek Arm of Fort Peck Lake, this park provides facilities for most water sports, as well as excellent walleye fishing. The park also offers a fish cleaning station, and a group facility you can reserve for special events.
