While the sale of new and used kayaks is the biggest part of our business, we also rent a few fishing kayaks from our store in Tempe.
We are a Hobie kayak dealer and rent their high-end, pedal drive fishing models if you want to go that direction. This item is a rental of a lower-cost, traditional paddle-style kayak from Jackson, Wilderness Systems or other quality brand that we happen to have on hand. Don't worry - it will never be some cheapie model from a big box store. An example model we usually rent is the Jackson Big Rig, stable enough for big dudes with reasonable ease of paddling and straight tracking, and plenty of room for all your gear. Comes with a very comfortable seat with lumbar support, as well as a stand-up assist bar for ease in getting up and down and to lean into when standing to cast.
You will need a truck or trailer to transport this one away from the shop.
Rental Plans and Rates
Our kayak rental-term options include:
24-Hour rate: Just like it sounds
Weekend rate: Pickup after 10am Friday and return Monday morning
Two weekdays: Monday thru Thursday rentals
The base price above at the checkout link is the "24-hour" rate, and just below that the drop-down list shows the pricing of the other options. Each rental includes a paddle and a life vest. We also do longer term rentals; just call and we'll handle it on the phone. There are some restrictions on availability, and you'll need a way to transport the kayak(s) and maybe a buddy to help. For all the fine print, see a PDF of our rental rates and policies.
We also have many useful kayaking accessories for rent and sale, and it's lots of fun to combine kayaking with camping -perhaps up around the Mogollon Rim lakes northeast of Scottsdale. See our full selection of camping gear options.
